CAROLINE O CALLAGHAN….

…..is a singer/songwriter, performer and singing teacher from Banna strand in North Kerry. Her original songs appear on her albums “Loves Old Dream” (2023) and “Daddy’s Waltz” (2014) and have been played on Radio Kerry, Irish Country Music Radio and internationally on WBAI New York.

Caroline has been singing since she was a child. Her songs are informed by her experiences growing up in rural Ireland. The themes of love, relationships, motherhood and ancestry interest and inspire the music along with a desire to express and process living. “Singing and writing is therapy and joy”.

She is also a prize winning songwriter. In 2024, Caroline scooped the top prize at the Sean McCarthy Ballad Competition in Finuge, County Kerry with her song “My Maryann”. This was not her first win. Her song “Scarabhín was the overall winner in 2019 with other songs “Loves Old Dream”, “Forever forget me not” and “Remembering Heart” taking runner up in previous years.

Caroline performs as a solo, in choirs, and with her husband, guitarist Donal Stack, in the duo “Beautiful Noise”. They perform in pubs, clubs, socials, festivals and corporate events. Caroline is also available for funeral services.

In 2024 Caroline completed a Certificate in Song Therapy Skills with the Song Therapy Network, UK.

Caroline lives in Banna with Donal and their two boys Robert (drums) and Julian (piano).
